Kirk Higgins

Kirk is a credentialed actuary with 16 years of financial and analytics experience in the employee benefits and health & life insurance industry. He currently works as a Pricing Actuarial Director at MetLife and previously worked as a pricing actuary or financial reporting specialist at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida, Allstate Benefits, Capital Health Plan, and WellCare (now Centene).  

Kirk is the eldest of 3 kids and is a native Jamaican born in the Kingston capital. Kirk also lived a short stint pre-K in Barbados. Upon migrating to the United States, he grew up and attended elementary, middle, and high school in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area. He ventured out-of-state and obtained a bachelors in math at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. He realized he missed the warm, sunny weather of Florida and pursued a life and career back in his home state.

In his adulthood, he has lived in various parts of Florida including Tallahassee, Jacksonville, and a short stint in Lakeland. He now resides in the Tampa-St. Petersburg area where he has lived for 6 years. Outside of work he enjoys visiting cultural festivals, theme parks, movies, professional wrestling events, parks, and visiting his father and younger siblings in South Florida.  

Kirk is a Christian who subscribes to the message of Jeremiah 29:11 that God has prepared plans to protect us and has given each one of us a purpose and ability to build a future legacy that honors God. Kirk is a natural problem solver and understands the importance of real estate ownership in building generational wealth and a family legacy. Kirk plans to draw from his experience in Corporate America to pursue a career in Commercial real estate and real estate investment. Prior to pursuing a career in real estate, Kirk was a former client of Geniece and Kety. Having received great customer service from Geniece and Kety and having been impressed with their stellar commitment to integrity and community, Kirk knew Philidor Brady and Co Realty was the destination for him to start his real estate career and adventure.
